Instead, I'm post about our wonderful night, with amazing friends.
Hans and I went over to Richard and Kathrine's house last night for a deliciously rustic campfire dinner.
Richard had the fire burning nicely when we arrived. We cooked hot dogs (both plain and wrapped in bacon - Yum!), medisterpølse (a favorite of mine), campfire bread, and an experimental potato salad (which I will show you in another post). Then finished the evening off with the quintessential campfire dessert, s'mores!

Unfortunately, I was so hungry, I forgot to take pictures of the plated meal.
It was perfect (but not so low calorie).
Shortly before eating, it began to rain. When we finished eating, Hans and Richard moved the fire from the pit to the charcoal grill, and onto the covered patio.
Between the rain and the transfer, the fire died down and smoked, a lot.

Thanks for stopping by, Kristen. I don't have a specific recipe, but any yeast bread recipe should work. Just prepare as normal and when it's finished rising take and wrap around sticks (or whatever) and cook like you would a hot-dog or marshmallow. The closer to the flame, the more burnt on the ouside and gooey on the inside it will be. I propped mine about 10 inched from the fire and about 15-20 min later they were perfect.
