Latest News On The Baby Front

I've debated on whether or not to post about this, mostly because I don't want to bore you or jinx myself. I decided to go for it, because some of you want to hear about the trials (and errors) of our baby journey.

After taking one cycle of birth control, I went back to Skive for an 11 day post-menstrual ultra sound. The results were promising. I am happy to say I have a nice pretty follicle in my right ovary, accompanied by a good sized egg. According to the ultrasound, I will be ovulating within 3 days (as of yesterday). We have our fingers crossed, but trying hard not to get our hopes up too high. I will have a progesterone level drawn next Friday to confirm ovulation. My doctor is hopeful that, if all goes well, we will have a positive pregnancy test sometime around the first of October. If not, obviously I should have another menstrual cycle. I do not know what the plan will be if neither of these things happen. I don't know if he will then want to start Clomid, or go another route.

Also, while I was there, I had to have another colposcopy. The results of my most recent Pap are abnormal, again. I'm not anywhere near as worried about this as I was 9 or 10 years ago, when I had the first colposcopies. My doctor and I both feel these results are due to the PCO, and lack of menstruating. I should know for certain in about a week.

For now, I am trying to ease the pain by lounging around on the sofa and having a Gilmore Girls marathon.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, when I feel better I'll be posting some fall projects!

  3. The Gilmore Girls are good for getting away from life for a bit, aren't they? Ironically, they got me through my post partum depression. :) Lots of prayers and wishes from afar,

  7. Sounds like a great start! It's not boring or TMI. I know what you mean about debating whether to post something that might be TMI...I had a recent gyno appointment and was going to make comparisons on my blog about it. TMI?
