After taking one cycle of birth control, I went back to Skive for an 11 day post-menstrual ultra sound. The results were promising. I am happy to say I have a nice pretty follicle in my right ovary, accompanied by a good sized egg. According to the ultrasound, I will be ovulating within 3 days (as of yesterday). We have our fingers crossed, but trying hard not to get our hopes up too high. I will have a progesterone level drawn next Friday to confirm ovulation. My doctor is hopeful that, if all goes well, we will have a positive pregnancy test sometime around the first of October. If not, obviously I should have another menstrual cycle. I do not know what the plan will be if neither of these things happen. I don't know if he will then want to start Clomid, or go another route.
Also, while I was there, I had to have another colposcopy. The results of my most recent Pap are abnormal, again. I'm not anywhere near as worried about this as I was 9 or 10 years ago, when I had the first colposcopies. My doctor and I both feel these results are due to the PCO, and lack of menstruating. I should know for certain in about a week.
For now, I am trying to ease the pain by lounging around on the sofa and having a Gilmore Girls marathon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, when I feel better I'll be posting some fall projects!

omg, omg! A baby! Can I borrow him/her from time to time? :) Wish you good luck!
ReplyDeleteOf course you can, Raluca! We just have to wait and see how things go, first.
ReplyDeleteThe Gilmore Girls are good for getting away from life for a bit, aren't they? Ironically, they got me through my post partum depression. :) Lots of prayers and wishes from afar,
