Family Bus Trip

Last weekend my husband's 'morfar' (mother's father/grandfather) took the whole family on a bus trip. Every year he pays to charter a bus, and foots the bill for any admission fees and dinner. This is his "Happy Birthday" to the entire family. There's more than 50 of us, probably more than 60. So, this trip is far easier than remembering every single person's birthday!

This year we all met up at an inn, in Borbjerg. We boarded the bus and went to Højriis slot where we participated in a murder mystery set around 1929. I didn't take pictures of every room, but I did get a lot.

We had a picnic lunch at the castle and then drove to a hill. I don't remember the name, but hills are pretty rare over here. This particular hill is about 1000 meters above sea level. We only stopped to walk around for a few minutes before driving back to the Bjorberg Inn, for dinner. They had animals all around the inn property. I saw ostriches, llamas, and donkeys, but I only remembered to take pictures of the donkeys.

We had a lot of fun, but it was a long, exhausting day. Hope you enjoyed all the pictures. I'll try to not be gone too long, this time.
