I'm just curious how everyone views tattoos. I've seen a lot of cutesy girly tattoos pinned on Pinterest lately, and it got me thinking about ink.
More ink to be exact.
Right now I have 2, the first is a butterfly just above my left ankle on the outside of my leg.
My second tattoo is what my friend Jeppe calls "The Bird Carcass" It's a phoenix with a tree of life in the center. While it's not the phoenix you'd typically see, it's one that has very special meaning to me.

I've been itching for a new tattoo for the past year or so, but I'm not sure what I'm wanting, or where I'm wanting it.
So I guess, what I want to know is, do you have a tattoo? Do you want one (or more)? Are you utterly against them? If you have one, or want one, what sort of tattoos do you have, or want to have?

Well, as said earlier, most of my friends have tattoos nowadays. In all forms and sizes. I even had a friend who has a hard time looking for a free spot on his body to put the next one. I live in a big city where people don't look up anymore when they see a tattood person cross their path. My girlfriend has two, one on her foot and one on her entire back. Personally I like them, depending on the design and the location on the body. Those two parameters are what defines a nice tattoo to me.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of getting on myself for a very long time. I would like the drawing of a Japanese geisha on my lower inner right arm, but it costs a lot of money, and I can't seem to give it the priority it needs to get myself to spend the cash on it. Perhaps someday I will.
I love tattoos and would like to have more. I have just the one on my shoulder and just have to wait till we have a bit of extra cash to get more art.
ReplyDeleteI love yours. They are beautiful. I am going to get at least 2 tattoos. I have wanted them for years and am satisfied with the design and that I want to live with them forever.
ReplyDeleteThe one I am getting the day after Thanksgiving will be on my inside left wrist. It is going to say *So She Did* I love the saying *She did not know she couldn't, so she did*.
The second one is a frog that a friend drew for me. It will be on the inside of my left ankle.
Thank you for sharing yours with us.
